Custom Fireplaces is a full service chimney company. We build custom
fireplaces that not only look good but are guaranteed to draw
exceptionally well and provide you much more heat than conventional
fireplaces.
Our specialty is
building "Rumford" fireplaces, named after Count Rumford (real name
Sir Benjamin Thompson), who in 1795 wrote the first and still the
best book (after 207 years) on fireplace design. Whether your
preference is brick, stone or tile, we can accommodate you. |

| We also specialize in repairing problem fireplaces. It seems about half of the fireplaces being built even today do not draw satisfactorily and will fill your house with smoke. The mason who built it didn’t understand the physics of how a fireplace works. If you have a problem fireplace that you are afraid to use, most likely it can be altered so as to work safely and to your satisfaction. We also build fireplaces that you can actually cook in, complete with electrical rotisserie. In 1992, we started a company called "The Chimney Masters", which featured complete chimney service. Now after 10 years, our customer base has swelled to over 5,000, in a large part because of the pride we take in our work.
